Jaguar XK150 FHC RHD SE 1958 - SOLD

Chassis no: S 824323

Engine no: V 3352-8

This Jaguar XK150 fixedhead coupé is a genuine right hand drive UK car originally supplied to Henlys of London and sold by Boorers Garage in Worthing. The first owner was Mr Charles Purley of LEC refrigeration and father of F1 driver David Purley. In 1959 the car was sold to a Mr Porretta who retained the car until 1988 when the mileage had only risen to 32,300. The third owner, Mr Baungaard, then undertook an extensive but sympathetic restoration of the car retaining the original seats. This work was carried out to a very high standard and the car then covered less than 500 miles before being sold in 2015 to the current owner.

Since 2015 the car has been recommissioned by Twyford Moors and sympathetically upgraded for modern motoring without loosing the period charm. The car now benefits from and alternator, electric cooling fan, electric power steering and a period radio converted to receive FM.

This XK150 drives very well and is in good mechanical order. In its original colour scheme of Mist Grey and red interior this car oozes period charm and is a truly useable classic car.

This is a rare opportunity to own a stunning, low mileage XK with well documented history and an extensive file. This is a genuine matching numbers car with four owners and than 35,000 miles from new. A real collectors car with upgrades to make it very usable on modern roads.
