Meon Valley Tour comes to Twyford Moors Classic Cars

Jaguar XKs and E-types visiting Twyford Moors Classic CarsBackwater Tours, who run a variety of tours for Jaguar XK and E-Type owners, recently visited Twyford Moors on their latest tour. The tour took in the heart of the picturesque Meon Valley and many of its star attractions, including the wonderful Beaulieu National Motor Museum and Avington Park.

The star attraction for a true Jaguar enthusiast though had to be a visit to our showroom and workshop. The guests were taken on a guided tour by Ian Mills taking in the showroom, a detailed view of our restoration process including a fully restored and built up XK140 chassis and an in depth view of every area of our workshops. Visitors then spent some time around the premises getting the opportunity to talk to our various members of staff about their work and to discuss their own Jaguars. Seeing Jaguar E-Types at Twyford Moors Classic Carsso many XKs and E-Types in one place, ranging from totally standard cars to those featuring many of our upgrades such as disc brakes and power steering, always encourages our visitors to consider the possibilities for their own cars.

After their time at our workshop the tour continued with a vintage bus trip down to the amazing Portsmouth Historic Dockyard, home of HMS Warrior, HMS Victory and the new Mary Rose Museum before returning to Twyford Moors for a cup of tea and to collect their cars again.

It was a pleasure to meet a great group of Jaguar drivers and see their lovely XKs and E-Types and we look forward to next years Meon Valley Tour as it passes through again. To find out more about this tour and others please click here to get to Backwater Tours' website or email Paul Trill at
