Twyford Moors mechanic spotted splashing around on the Thames

Our very own James Yoxall was spotted on the television on Sunday handling a very large cup! Where was this I hear you ask; at the Oxford Cambridge boat race on the River Thames of all places. Now before you jump to conclusions regarding sabotage and loons swimming in front of the boats I feel I should give you some background on James.

Many of you will know James as the polite and hardworking mechanic you see fettling away under your XKs during the weeks. What you may not know is that by night James has an alter-ego; he is a Royal Marine reservist and sends his free time in charge of a RIB.

Last weekend James, along with many other Marines, was tasked with security at the boat race. As one of the younger members of the team, having recently passed his boat handlers course and being a generally handsome young man James was entrusted with handling the trophy. We are pleased to report he succeeded in this task most admirably, without dropping the trophy in the Thames and James even made it onto the television.

Congratulations James! We are all very proud of you.
