Twyford Moors restored XK120 completes LeJog

Congratulations to Philip Haslam who completed ‘LeJog’ (Lands End to John O’Groats), the toughest endurance rally in the UK, in his Twyford Moors restored and prepared Jaguar XK120 with co-driver Peter Fletcher. Completing this event is an achievement in itself with many teams not making it to the end however Philip, Peter and the XK achieved 1st in class and 10th overall. Two thousand five hundred miles of long days and nights, down tracks you wouldn’t want to walk your dog, is a true test of man and machine.

XK Gazette featuring Twyford Moors prepared XK120 rally carThe Jaguar XK is particularly well suited to this kind of event and with a few sensible upgrades for reliability and ease of use from Twyford Moors an XK is a true class winner. All you then require is a driver who is up to driving for 27 hours flat out on Scottish tracks.

There is a fantastic article by Philip in this months XK Gazette following ‘Mission Le Jog’. It’s well worth a read. Please click here for the XK Club. Members can access the magazine though the club but if you’re not yet a member it’s well worth having a look around the site at the fantastic resources. We also offer a discount to XK Club members!

We would also like to congratulate Mel Hatton and Phillippa Robinson on completing the event in their Riley 1.5. They competed to raise money for Naomi House hospice and the Rosewood Free School and were given the Charities Award.
