Jaguar 100 Tour - 3rd of June 2022

Our friends at Classic Travelling are organising a wonderful tour to celebrate 100 years since Swallow Sidecar, the company which went on to become SS and then Jaguar was founded. This wonderful event has been inspired by Norman Dewis’ famous dash from Coventry to the Geneva Motor Show in 77 RW a Series 1 E-Type. Starting on the 3rd of June 2022 the tour will last for 9 days. Along the way it will take in many other iconic Jaguar related locations. Here’s what Classic Travelling have to say:

“Celebrate the centenary of Swallow-Jaguar with a sensational tour inspired by Jaguar founder, Sir William Lyons and the great Norman Dewis, Jaguar’s famed test driver. The tour will start in Coventry, home of Jaguar, taking in drinks and dinner at Coventry Guildhall, Gaydon, Wappenbury Hall, Arras, Reims, Geneva, the Emil Frey Museum, Brussels Autoworld and the Jabekke Highway. Full mechanical support is included, with good hotels, great food, fascinating visits and plenty to make every Jaguar lover smile.

This tour is especially for owners of Swallows, Jaguars and Daimlers of any age. You do not need to belong to any Jaguar Club to participate on this tour. However, other makes of cars will be allowed on the tour, for example Jaguar enthusiasts who do not have a car available.

The tour can also be joined in Dover or Arras, for those in mainland Europe.”

As we all know XKs are probably the finest classic cars for taking part in these kinds of tours so it would be lovely to see plenty of XK owners out on the tour flying the flag. For more information on what promises to be a fabulous tour please get in touch or visit the Classic Travelling website.
