Jaguar XK140 FHC RHD 1955 – SOLD

This Jaguar XK140 fixedhead coupe is an original right-hand drive car. When new it was exported to the Cycle & Carriage Company in Singapore and then went to Malaya. Little is known of the car's early history but it was then reimported into the UK in 1960 where it has remained since. During the 1970s the car appears to have been active on the XK scene having attended several XJ rallies including Beaulieu and Sudeley. From 1978 to 1987 it was owned by a Mr M Sambrook and from 1987 to 2020 it was in the car of Mr D Croft-Pearman. During this time the car was restored but kept to a fairly standard specification.

The car has clearly been well cared for since its restoration and remains in smart and usable condition. It has recently been thoroughly recommissioned here at Twyford Moors. At this time, it was also lightly upgraded for modern use with electronic ignition, an upgraded windscreen wiper system, an aluminium radiator and an electric cooling fan.
