We spent last weekend at the NEC in Birmingham for the Classic Motor Show. This is always a wonderful show as it brings together specialists, clubs, and suppliers from all over the country. It is a fantastic opportunity to catch up with friends old and new.
The show takes place every year on Remembrance weekend. It is quite a moving experience to be in the huge halls of the NEC, surrounded by thousands of people when the clock strikes 11. The whole show becomes perfectly still and silent in a moment of respect and reflection. It never fails to impress me the way everyone at the event, from every walk of life, marks this solemn moment.
This year we had a lovely array of Classic Jaguars on show. Our D-Type replica attracted particular interest. Next to that, we had an XK120 drophead coupe, an XK150 drophead coupe, and a 4.2-litre Series 1 E-Type. We were lucky enough to be joined by our friends from Mindless Media, who did some filming and photography. We have shared some of the great photos in the gallery below and look forward to sharing some video footage in the near future.
