Fitted workshop units – the glory of Dura

Starting with a brand-new workshop which we could design from top to bottom gave us the opportunity to really think through how we could make the best use of the space. It also allowed us to create an aesthetic befitting the beautiful cars we work on. From the positioning of the car ramps to the airlines, every aspect of the build was carefully considered with input from leading professionals and our team who would be working in the facility.
One of the highlight features we have been able to bring to the new workshop is our fitted workshop units and toolboxes. Having a uniform and smart look across the workshop with matching toolboxes was something we were keen to achieve. We spent some time researching the market until we came across Dura. Dura more than filled our requirements. A quality product, great design ideas with the flexibility to suit our different needs and a team that was so easy to work with. Top that with a product manufactured in the UK and we were onto a winner.
Each Dura workstation consists of a set of cupboard units to store parts and consumables with space for a ‘roll-cab’ (toolbox) to be stored underneath. This means when required our team can move between workstations and take their tools with them, saving time wasted walking backwards and forwards for tools.
The colour scheme and logo were created to match our brand colours. We have had a few people comment that we are brave having cream units in a workshop but the paint finish is incredibly durable and easy to keep clean. The whole team are so thrilled with this new equipment we have no doubt they will endeavour to keep it looking top-notch. For our mechanics and fabricator, we have galvanized steel worktops and for our fitters, we went with hardwood tops.
