Goodwood Revival 2023

We are now all back in the workshop and tidied up after another successful weekend at the Goodwood Revival. As ever it was a spectacular show featuring some incredible motor racing, vintage fashion and something to entertain the whole family with shopping, live music and the funfair “Over the Road”.
We were in our usual pitch near Bonhams and opposite Sky Cinema. As a result we were able to enjoy three showings of Willy Wonka, three showings if The Italian Job and no less than six showings of Grease. Fortunately, we do enjoy a good musical and who doesn’t love to see Philip Porters E-Type on screen?
It was great to once again be joined on the stand by Shan Stokes, David Meek, Guy Lachlan and Henry Pearman of Historic & Classic Vehicles Alliance to promote their work. The HCVA is a not-for-profit organising dedicated to ensuring the survival of classic cars and the industries that support them. Please visit their website to read more about their important work on everything from the future supply of fuel to training the next generation of restorers and mechanics.
We had a wonderfully successful weekend with the stunning XK140 pictured here being sold and ready to go for a new home. We also attended to a couple of classic cars out in the car park which needed some fettling before their journeys home. We always go the extra mile for our customers and don’t mind getting our hands dirty even when wearing a shirt and tie in 30-degree heat! Another regular feature of the Revival for us is helping new customers whose cars have failed to proceed before or after the event. We were able to get a couple such cars recovered back to our workshop over the course of the weekend.
Thank you to everyone who visited us over the weekend and to all the Goodwood staff who worked so hard to create such a wonderful event. As ever it was a delight to catch up with so many of our customers, suppliers and friends working across the industry.
