Islands and Highlands Tour 2023

A few of our customers have just finished taking part in the ‘Islands and Highlands tour’ organised by Classic Rally Press. By all accounts, this was a wonderful trip taking on some of the best driving roads the UK has to offer. Hopping from island to island on small ferries the drivers and their cars competed over the course of 16 days with both regularity stages and circuit tests at the only motor circuit on the Scottish islands, Creek Park. 

We understand a fabulous time was had by all and we were thrilled to see that the XKs we look after behaved themselves for their owners. In fact, David and Julie won 1st in their category driving their stunning XK120 which we restored. Julie also won the best navigator and Tina in the XK140 DHC which we look after won the Ladies’ Prize.

Classic Rally Press do a number of great tours throughout the year. They have the Liege-Bresica-Liege Rally for XKs and E-Types coming up in July and we understand there are still a few spaces left. The rally winds its way from Belgium through the mountain and some stunning driving roads to Italy taking in Stelvio and Gavia on the way. There is full mechanical support and great hotels included throughout the trip.
