Office Administrator / Bookkeeper

Overview

We are seeking a friendly, organised, and experienced Office Administrator with bookkeeping experience to join our team. This role can be offered on a full-time (37.5 hours) or part-time basis, with hours to be negotiated for the right candidate.
The position is based at our purpose-built workshop and offices in Havant and plays a key role in supporting the day-to-day running of a busy classic car restoration business.

Twyford Moors Classic Cars is a well-known classic car restoration and sales specialist with over 40 years of experience. We are renowned for our high-quality workmanship and attention to detail, specialising in the restoration and sale of iconic Jaguar sports cars from the 1950s, 60s and 70s.
Operating from modern premises in Havant, our in-house facilities include restoration, bodywork, servicing, engine rebuilds and vehicle sales.

Key Responsibilities

Bookkeeping & Accounts
Manage day-to-day bookkeeping duties
Process accounts payable and receivable, including invoicing and payment tracking
Carry out bank reconciliations and maintain accurate financial records
Preparation of VAT returns
Work with accounting software (Xero experience preferred)
Client Services
Act as the first point of contact for customers and visitors by phone, email, and in person
Manage enquiries and direct communications appropriately
Schedule appointments and maintain office calendars
Handle incoming and outgoing post and general correspondence
Office Administration & Support
Provide administrative support to directors and senior staff
Maintain organised digital and physical filing systems
Manage office supplies and support general office organisation
Assist with additional administrative tasks as required

Skills & Experience Required

Previous experience in an office administration and/or bookkeeping role
Confidence using accounting software (Xero preferred)
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
Professional telephone manner and good communication skills
Positive, reliable, and proactive approach
Able to work independently and as part of a small team

Hours & Salary

Full-time: 37.5 hours per week
Part-time: Hours negotiable for the right candidate
Salary: £30,000–£33,000 per annum (full-time equivalent), pro rata for part-time
