The NEC Classic Motor Show is the UKs largest classic car show with over 3000 classic motor vehicles on site. It really is a sight to behold and it is hard to take it all in! If you haven't visited put it in your diary for next year.
There are some truly amazing exhibits and cars at the show. A highlight this year was the Jaguar Enthusiasts' Clubs wonderful tribute to Norman Dewis. The JEC had some of the most significant Jaguars developed and drive by the great man on their stand from an early Jaguar C-Type, to the oldest surviving E-Type roadster, all the way up the XJ13.
Remembrance Sunday coincides with the NEC every year and it is a truly moving experience to be in that hall as the buzz of thousands of people moving around and talking falls silent. It is a privilege to experience and adds to the weight of this moment of reflection.
The NEC is always a great show for us and an opportunity to catch up with both suppliers and customers in person. This year we had four cars for sale; an early steel bodied XK120 OTS, an extensively upgraded XK120 FHC, an XK140 FHC in need of full restoration and an XK150 3.4 S. Business is good with cars sold at the show and lots of interest going forward. Roll on 2020!
