Jaguar XK140 DHC LHD 1955 - SOLD

This Jaguar XK140 drophead coupe special equipment (or MC in the USA) started life in California, USA and was sold by Hornburg Hollywood. The car was brought back to the UK in 1997 and then fully restored here at Twyford Moors between 1998 and 2000.
 
During the restoration process the car was extensively upgraded. The engine is a 3.8 litre unit with ages flowed straight port cylinder head, triple 2" carburettors and a tubular manifold. The radiator has been upgraded with an alumnium unit, header tank and electric cooling fan. The car also befits form disc brakes, five speed gearbox, hydraulic pedal box, limited slip differential, alternator, hi-torque starter motor, upgraded suspension, brantz and a stereo system.
 
Since its restoration the car has been toured extensively, has won many awards and concours d'elegance competitions. This XK is in superb condition and would be ideal for someone looking for a practical and usable touring car.
