This Jaguar XK140 is an original right-hand drive car. It was built in August 1956 and retains its original matching numbers engine. It is a local car having first been registered to a Ruth Burroughs of Horsham in West Sussex.
The current owner took possession of the car in 1998. In that time, he has covered many thousands of trouble-free miles touring as far afield as St Petersburg, Porto, Istanbul, Morocco, and Norway.
We have known this car throughout this period having undertaken a partial restoration of the car in 2006. Though not a full body off restoration the body was extensively repaired and repainted, the chassis was repaired as required and the car was fully retrimmed. At this time this XK was also extensively upgraded including front disc brakes, pedal box, five-speed gearbox, alternator, electric cooling fan, bucket seats and much more.
Finished in Polar Silver with a red interior and wire wheels this XK is a real head-turner and stands out from the crowd. It remains in lovely condition and is a very usable car ready to be enjoyed this summer.
