Jaguar XK140 SE DHC RHD 1956 - SOLD

This Jaguar XK140 is a rare and sought after special equipment (SE) model with a genuine C-Type cylinder head. This, combined with the fact that it is an original UK, right-hand drive, drophead coupe make this is an exceptionally desirable car.

The car was originally finished in Baltic Grey and delivered to Henly's of London. In the late 1980s the XK was restored at which point the colour was changed to red. There is an extensive history file with the car, much of which relates to this restoration and includes a photographic record of the restoration work.

In recent years this XK140 has been extensively upgraded here at Twyford Moors. It how benefits from a five speed gearbox, disc brakes, electric power steering, electric cooling fan, alternator and electronic ignition. In short everything you could want for a very reliable and usable classic car. The hood was also recently re-trimmed along with new hood wood and the correct hood chromes being fitted.

This is a wonderful car to drive with a focus on comfort and usability. The upgrades fitted make it a very reliable car in which one could easily cover long distances.
