Jaguar XK150 SE DHC RHD 1960 – Sold

This lovely Jaguar XK150 drophead coupe is an original UK, right-hand drive car. It has its original matching numbers and is a rare SE (Special Equipment) model. Finished in March 1960 the car was originally sold through Henlys of London and finished in Sherwood Green with a Suede Green interior. The car still retains its original colour scheme to this day.

The extensive and well-presented history file includes a Heritage certificate and details the ownership of the car back to 1965. It also includes a great collection of photographs going back as far as the 1970s and detailing some of the restoration work the car has had done. There are also MOT certificates and invoices going as far back as the 1980s.

We know this XK150 very well having carried out a partial restoration on the car in 2008. Since then, the car has been returned to us annually for servicing and has been cared for to the highest standards. The car was built to be used and has been used for touring by the previous owner so shows a few imperfections but this does mean it has been kept in top mechanical order. Extensive upgrades have been undertaken to make the car more usable and reliable including an alternator, electric cooling fan, electronic ignition, and electric power steering.

This is a very well-presented car which drives beautifully. It is fun on B roads and comfortable for long-distance cruising.
