This article will look at our bucket seat upgrades for the XK120, XK140 and XK150. Over the years this has proved to be one of our most popular upgrades.

So why would you want to change your classic XK seats? Well, there are several reasons. Chief amongst these is that bucket seats can offer much more support than the original seats. This is particularly beneficial to the passenger as they aren’t holding onto the steering wheel for support and the difference can really be felt on longer journeys. When we fit bucket seats we can pad them out with extra support in specific locations to suit the person using the car. This can significantly increase comfort and support.

The next benefit of bucket seats is legroom and head height. Bucket seats allow you to get both further back and lower down in the car. This is of particular benefit to taller drivers and really comes into its own in an XK120. For taller drives the XK120 can be a bit of a squeeze and bucket seats can make all the difference. When combined with our extended pedal box conversion and a smaller steering wheel with power steering an XK120 can accommodate some quite tall drivers.

The final advantage of bucket seats is somewhat discretionary. XKs, particularly the XK120, have motorsport in their blood. In period many were upgraded to bucket seats.
